RESEARCH AND EXTENSION | MACADAMIA NUT

Exploring fungal threats and biocontrol strategies for macadamia nuts
Macadamia nut is a signature crop with important role in Hawaii's agricultural industry. Its production has declined over the past decades due to challenges posed by insects, pathogens, and diseases that damage the trees or compromise nut development and harvest quality. Ongoing and expanded research focused on improved pest monitoring and management strategies are essential to safeguard macadamia nut production in Hawai'i.
